Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint is an English actor. He is best known for his role as Ron Weasley, one of the three main characters in the Harry Potter series. Grint was cast as Ron at the age of eleven, previously acting only in school plays and local theater groups. From 2001 to 2011, he starred in all eight Harry Potter films. Starting in 2002, Grint began working outside the Harry Potter series, starring in Thunderpants. He has starred in Driving Lessons, a comedy released in 2006, and Cherrybomb, a limited release television series in 2010.
